Letter from the President

Hello and welcome to the Gamma Eta Chapter of Tri Delta!

Thank you for taking the time to explore our website and learn more about our sisterhood. Throughout the past four years at University of Richmond, Tri Delta has been the highlight of my college experience. Not only because this chapter gave me my best friends but also because it inspires the best out of each member.

Through looking at our website, it is clear that Tri Deltas excel academically and are leaders involved in many extracurricular activities. There are no two Tri Deltas that are exactly alike because we are involved in a diverse range of activities, yet, we come together in our shared values of being brave, bold, and kind. We’re also passionate about helping victims of cancer in our community and in the nation through our affiliation with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

In our own chapter, our values can be seen through small acts of kindness, such as texting a sister to get coffee. Through a community that genuinely supports one another and wants to see each other succeed, many of our sisters chose to tell their stories at sisterhood events, such as Behind Happy Faces. In programs like Behind Happy Faces, those who want to share about personal experiences are given the opportunity to do so, and are backed with a network of women who love and support them. I know I have been inspired by so many of my sisters’ bravery at such events.

On our campus community, these values play out by supporting other fraternities and sororities philanthropy events and also by showing up as a Richmond Spider for other Spiders. This includes going to important speaker events, supporting non-Greek clubs, and embodying the value of kindness to benefit the entire community.

I hope that our website can provide you with a glimpse of what it means to be a Tri Delta. Being a part of this chapter has  broadened my perspectives, bolstered my academics, and challenged and refined my leadership skills in the most empowering way. I’m so grateful for the chance to be a part of such an awesome and dedicated organization, and I look forward to watching the chapter grow and excel even more this year. Each member brings a unique and valued presence to our organization, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome our new class this spring.

Delta Love,
